Play Rummy in real time against real opponents
from around world. Infinite tables available
with up to six players per table per game and
real time tournaments. A tournament is a Rummy
group game in which players start with an equal number
of chips and continue to play until one
player has collected all of the chips. The
tournament is a most thrilling part of Rummy gaming,
enabling a considerable increase in
one's bank balance and a lot of fun that
comes with it.
Each tournament has a "buy in" as well as a
fee. A minimum buy in is put into the prize
pool of the tournament and the fee is kept by
us. The size of the prize pool
depends on the number of participants playing
in the tournament and will be completely paid
to the winners. Each player is dealt the cards
and the dealer is chosen according to the specific
rules of the game being played. Each player's goal is
to collect as many chips as possible and
those players
who lose all their chips leave the game empty
handed.
TWO TYPES OF TOURNAMENTS:
Scheduled: These tournaments
have a fixed starting time and always
are announced well in advance. A player
must
register to take part in a tournament of
this kind. The registration closing time is announced
in the lobby and ends usually a few minutes before the
commencement of the tournament.
There are many types of tournaments
which can be considered as being scheduled, for
example regular buy-in tournaments,
guaranteed tournaments, freeroll
tournaments, and others. A "Guaranteed Tournament" is a
tournament with a guaranteed prize pool, where the sum
of the prize pool is fixed and does not
depend on the number of players but to start the
tournament a
minimum number of players is usually
required.
A "Freeroll Tournament" is one in which the
participation of all players is free of any
charge and the prize pool is provided by
Rummy.com and therefore everyone may participate with
a chance to win a large bounty without taking any
risk. Freeroll
tournaments are sometimes held to attract new players
or for those players who have played a
specified numbers of hands and they allow
those players to win
something without staking any real money on
it.
Sit and Go: These tournaments
are available 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. They start as soon as
the number of registered players amounts to
a specified level. The standard
tournament rules apply to all tournaments
in addition to any rules which apply to a
particular tournament.
